GEOFF PEARLMAN began playing guitar at age 9. Influenced early on by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Hendrix, Neil Young, Todd Rundgren and Carole King, eventually Geoff began to try his hand at writing songs and making crude 4 track cassette recordings in the basement. After years of lessons and numerous garage bands, Geoff left his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska and headed to Boston, where he went to Berklee College of Music. There he continued writing songs and also fell under the spell of artists like Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howling Wolf, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and Wes Montgomery as well as song writers like Bob Dylan, Nick Lowe and John Hiatt. His band eventually morphed into Redfish Bluefish, with fellow Berklee students Dan Foltz on drums and Jon Evans (Tori Amos) on bass with Geoff singing and writing, and in 1992 the band relocated to San Francisco.
